Foxy's Ready to go!
Looking relieved, Foxy Brown born Inga Marchand emerged from a white Bentley wearing a headscarf, big sunglasses, a brown leather jacket and black top and was immediately swarmed by photographers, reporters, fans and well-wishers shouting things like "You did it," "Stay strong," and "Free at last!"
Foxy smiled and said, "I feel good to be back home! Brooklyn's Don Diva, May 17," she told the throng of reporters and fans, referring to her album's upcoming release date. Can't miss an opportunity to plug a project.
Foxy yelled out, "I been in jail too long," "They said I couldn't do it ... eight months." She started tearing up and then asked the crowd for a "big round of applause for my mother," one of several well-wishers, along with an aunt and attorneys, who crowded in as she was packed back into the car after shouting, "I love y'all."

On Wednesday night Jay and Beyonce headed to his private dinner and after-party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's Tropicana Bar. They still didn't have on rings but appeared to be in happy honeymooners. Beyonce showed up just after 11 p.m. with Michelle Williams and Jay was a few steps behind. They headed upstairs to the "bridge" above the Tropicana Bar where they held their private dinner for 40 friends and family catered by the hotel's upscale steakhouse, Dakota. Jay was by her side all night except when he shuffled away for a few minutes to change from his concert clothes into a dark suit.
When he returned, Beyoncé cuddled up next to her man at one of the many large tables set up for the private dinner.
At several points during the dinner, sources say Beyonce wrapped her arms around the rapper and rubbed his back. At other times, she would lean her head against his shoulder and hold him tightly.

Mary Ida Vandross, mother of the late superstar Luther Vandross, passed away after being in a coma for more than a month.
Mary Vandross, 82, was the last surving family member in the immediate Vandross family having lost her husband, all four of her children and only grandson to either strokes or diabetes

Dipset member in near fatal crash
Freekey Zekey a rapper from the Diplomats was involved in a near fatal, three car pile-up accident on April 15 in New York City.
The accident happened in Harlem, at a stop light on 115th and 1st Avenue. Another car hit his 2007 White S550 Mercedes Benz from behind.
The impact from the collision was so tremendous that it tossed Freekey, whose real name is Ezekial Jiles and a friend in the air, landing in a parked Hummer. The passenger of the Hummer was still inside. His Benz was totaled but he is alive with minor scrapes and bruises.
Freekey Zekey spent the night at St. Luke’s Hospital for evaluation and has since been released.
“I’m just happy to know that Zeke was not severely injured”, says Dipset member Juelz Santana in a statement.

In its May issue, Blender magazine quoted 27-year-old Alicia Keys as saying, "Gangsta rap was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. Gangsta rap didn't exist." Here's her response:
"My comments about gangsta rap were in no way trying to suggest that the government is responsible for creating this genre of rap music," Keys said in a statement issued by J Records."We stand by our story," Blender spokeswoman Kate Cafaro said Tuesday.

Beyonce is reportedly planning to retire from professional singing. The R&B diva’s cousin Anjelica Knowles tells the New York Daily News that Bey’s upcoming third solo album will be her last.

LaLa's man arrested for drunk driving!
Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets was driving on Interstate 25 in Colorado at around 4:00 AM when he was pulled over and taken into custody. He failed a series of sobriety tests, and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Anthony was driving a silver Mercedes and police say he was stopped for failing to drive in a single lane and failing to dim his lights
